The
images and text below tell a little bit about my eperience on an "old course"
for Wood Badge. I was a participant on C-14-97 in
the Pony Express Council.
Our
course ran August thru Septemeber, and like any good courses, we burned
up, froze, and
got rained on! Scroll down to see pictures, and meet my patrol!

This
is the Troop assembled at Gilwell Field. That's our Scoutmaster, John Stewart
behind the axe and log. We had others from the Jayhawk Area Council in C-14-97,
including fellow troop leader Mike Monhollon in the Fox patrol.

This
is my patrol, at our campsite. This is weekend two, and this was our
"model"
site(note fancy gateway). From left we have Anne Herriage, Duane Cress,
Rick Dockery and Curtis Wampler and yours truly. At far right is
our Coach Counselor, Rod Coutts. |

This
is at a "very early" breakfast...note the sunrise thru the trees. That's
Rick behind the campbox, and Duane at left, probably working on table apparel
in his "spare time"!!! |
Here
we are, once again fixing up some chow! That's Curtis at right,
as Chef, and Duane at left. Duane was my tent partner for the course,
and we had a great time...kindred spirits, I guess. |
